Students clear  the campus and leave it feeling much like a ghost town as everyone heads to new locations for the week-long spring break following directly after midterms. Snow College students and faculty members step away from the classroom for a minute to enjoy a break.Try to word this last sentence differently so that you don’t use “break” too many times in your intro:)

As the semester quickly comes to its halfway point, many students expressed the need for a break and some kind of restart before starting up a new week. Spring break allowed students to make exciting plans with friends, return home to family members, pick up some extra hours at work, or simply have some time to sleep in and not worry about homework.

Gabi Bruse shared, “I had time to catch up on things that I don't prioritize during the regular school year. It started with a great trip with the school's cow horse team to Fort Worth Texas to compete in the Collegiate Challenge for the Celebration of Champions where I was able to rediscover my career aspirations and goals. Then after that I came home and put what I learned to use and also not have to do a lick of homework." Many students like Gabi shared the relief  felt from having a week away to refocus on other aspects of their lives.

While returning to the classroom the next week and buckling down for the home stretch of the rest of the semester, there is an importance of finding grit to stay strong to the end. Over five students expressed concern with being able to stay motivated after the nice break. Some professors have also expressed concern with seeing students' grades drop with the lack of motivation.

When asking Breanne Gardiner how she will stay motivated till the end of the semester she stated, “Oh, I won’t. Just kidding. It is not going to be easy, but I plan to balance my time better so I have time to relax but also get all my homework done at the same time.”

Spring Break was a great break for all members of Snow College, but as everyone returns back to school, it’s a time to work hard and persist until the end of the semester as spring continues to come forward.
