The girls' softball team has been lighting it up in non-conference games. The Badgers have played 11 games, winning eight of the games. The Badgers played in the CSN Kickoff, playing five games and winning four.
In their first game, they played against Pima Community College. They lost a close game 12-9. Pima started off hot in the top of the first inning taking the lead 3-0. The Badgers responded in the bottom of the first, scoring four. In the following innings, Pima outscored the Badgers. In the second inning, they added three to their score which put them up on the Badgers 6-5. In the following four innings, Pima added to their lead by six. The Badgers put four on the board throughout the rest of the game. However, this was not enough for them to win. The final score was Pima 12, and the Badger's nine. For the Badgers, McCall Maxfield had a great game going 2-4 with two RBI. For Pima, Tapia-Ochoa went 4-4 at the plate.
In the following games, the Badgers won against Glendale Community College, Central Arizona College, and Arizona Western College, outscoring each of those teams 21-9.
Snow’s last game in the CSN classic was electric. Snow beat No. 19 Eastern Arizona College 19-8. In the first inning, Snow put 11 runs up on Eastern Arizona. From their early lead the Badgers continued to have a commanding lead throughout the rest of the game, adding to their score each inning, and ultimately run-ruling Eastern Arizona.
The Badgers went on to play in the Western Shootout, winning four of the six games played. The Badgers opened the Western shootout by beating Arizona Western College 8-0 in five innings.
In the following four games, the Badgers went 2-2, beating Pima Community College 6-5, following that up with a loss to Arizona Western College 12-5. The Badgers were able to bounce back from that tough loss, beating Central Arizona College 6-4. They then played Central Arizona again and lost 3-0.
In the final game of the Shootout, the Badgers beat No.19 Eastern Arizona College again 9-4. The Badgers were down all game until the 5th inning, where Snow was able to put up eight runs on Arizona. This ultimately gave Badgers the upper hand to beat Eastern Arizona.
Snow Softball's first two series have been postponed due to weather. The Badgers were able to play College of Southern Nevada splitting the home series 2-2 Making the Badger conference record 2-2 with an overall record of 10-5.
