As the 2025 school year draws nearer to a close, the time is coming to elect next year's Student Body Officers.

The SBOs are a group of students who are tasked to improve and maintain the student life aspect of Snow College. On a daily basis they work to plan activities and events to bring some fun to campus.

The team this year consists of 23 students with five of them holding positions on the executive council, including the student body president and the respective vice presidents.

For those interested in running for an elected position, applications must be submitted by Friday, February 21. Candidates will then participate in preliminary interviews from February 24-26, with final eligibility confirmed by February 28.

The official campaign period kicks off on Monday, March 10, at 9am, with voting taking place from March 12-14. Winners will be announced following the close of elections on March 14.

If there are students who are not interested in campaigning but are still interested in being a part of the team, there is an opportunity to apply for an appointed position instead. This is also available to those who did not win their respective elections.

The deadline for appointed position applications, including required video submissions, is Saturday, March 8. Applicants selected for the next round will be invited to Leadership Day on March 28, a mandatory event for final consideration. Official appointments will be announced in April.

With opportunities open to all admitted Snow College students, including incoming freshmen, the SBO selection process offers a chance for students to develop leadership skills, advocate for their peers, and contribute to campus initiatives.

Those interested in running or applying can find more details and submit applications through the official online portal.
