Snow College recently welcomed back Garett and Natalie Bolles to its Ephraim campus, where the couple first met in 2014. Garett played football for the Snow College Badgers earning many awards including NJCAA Offensive Player of the Year.
After two years at Snow, the pair moved on to the University of Utah before Garett’s football career took him to the NFL as a first-round draft pick for the Denver Broncos in 2017. He has since earned recognition as one of the top left tackles in the league.
President Stacy Mciff introduced the couple and their family, emphasizing the school's motto “Great Stories Start at Snow.” She said “Today we celebrate more than the success, we celebrate the journey, the lessons learned and the impact those who believe in themselves have along the way.”
During their return to Snow College, Garett shared his inspiring journey of perseverance and success in a speech titled "Live Your Dream!" In his address, he detailed his experiences overcoming challenges throughout his journey to the NFL.
Garret emphasized the importance of “understanding your why” while detailing his rehab after suffering from a broken leg. He details the decision he had to make, “I had to ask myself, am I gonna sit here and complain or go through the work and move on.” After that he explained the grueling healing process and how it ultimately led to him becoming one of the highest paid left tackles in the NFL.
Garett also spoke about his foundation, GB3, which supports children and youth dealing with ADHD and other learning disabilities. His efforts through GB3 earned him a nomination for the prestigious Walter Payton Man of the Year award in 2023.
Following his presentation, attendees had the opportunity to meet Garett in person and receive autographs. The event, held on February 21 at 10:30 a.m. in the Horne Athletic Center, was free and open to the public, drawing an enthusiastic crowd eager to hear Garett’s empowering message.
