A new semester is starting a new chapter in a book. There are ways to make your life this semester easier, so your academic journey has more meaningful progress whether you are a first-year or in your final year, after speaking with the study body to collect practical tips that will help make the most of your semester, such as; setting a clear goal, define your success and what it means to you such as improving your GPA, being more active in your student life by joining a club or what letter grades you are aiming to get for the semester.
By setting manageable goals you can stay on track and not feel so overwhelmed when the inevitable final weeks begin, which leads to the second most mentioned tip, which is to write the goals down and keep them in a place you can look at and be able to reference to, this will help to keep everything organized and remind you of the actions that need to be followed through as well as being organized helps with keeping track of deadlines, assignments and exams.
Hence, nothing falls through the cracks and you can study and prepare for everything that is needed which goes into the third and final recommendation, engage in active learning! Just listening to lectures often isn't enough. By taking detailed notes, asking questions, and engaging in conversations the most information from the classes gets pulled and will help with remembering back when studying.
