Regular season Champions, Region 18 tournament champions, and West district champions headline the best season in the 100+ year history of Snow College Men’s Basketball.

This 2024-25 season marks the first time the Badgers have swept the Scenic West Athletic Conference regular season play going 15-0 to win the regular season and host the Region 18 tournament.

In the Region 18 tournament, the Badgers pulled out an 87-84 victory over Salt Lake Community College in the semifinal. Then followed it up with a 91-64 rout of Southern Idaho in the championship game securing just the fourth Region 18 tournament title in program history.

Coach May spoke about the toughness his players displayed during this historic season saying “They just totally bought into, Hey I’m gonna bring my best efforts everyday… um I’m super proud of that consistency they’ve had to bring their best effort every day and I think that’s developed the toughness that’s ultimately led to this season”.

Three Badgers made the Region 18 tournament teams. Isaac Finlinson who put up 45 pts, and 19 rebounds in the 2 tournament games. Isaac Garret put up 22 pts and 13 rebounds. Mark Brown Jr scored 40 pts and dished out 18 assists and collected 10 rebounds while making 7 of 8 3-pointers in the 2 games to not only make the tournament team but to also bring home the Region 18 tournament MVP.

That winning streak includes the first ever West District Championship win in Snow College history. The Badgers secured it with a 94-85 9-point victory over the Region 1 champions and No. 17 ranked Eastern Arizona Gila Monsters.

Isaac Finlinson led the Badgers in scoring this season with 19.1 points per game while also averaging 6.6 rebounds per game on his way to being named the Scenic West Athletic Conference player of the year. Finlinson also enters the Snow College basketball record books, by becoming just the fifth Badger ever to score 1,000 points in his career.

Coach May praised Finlinson saying “He is extremely competitive; He wants to be great added to the fact that is 6’8” and shoots at a super high level. He is a winner”.

Isaac Garret was the only Badger named to the all-region-18 first team while sophomore Mark Brown Jr and freshman Chance Trujillo were honored on the all-region-18 second team.

The Badgers recorded a 32-1 record with a 25-game winning streak, both are program records leading to the Badgers receiving the number one overall seed and a first-round bye in the NJCAA national tournament. For dates, times, and states of the tournament visit Snowbadgers.com.
