As a college student, many days will be spent studying or doing homework at the library. While being a productive student, it’s essential to keep your body fueled. Keeping snacks on hand or having nearby food stations makes it more accessible.
Inside Snow College’s Karen Huntsmen Library, there is Buster’s Bistro. Buster’s Bistro is a small restaurant that offers simple meals and snacks students can grab and go.
Located on the first floor of the library, right when you enter, the small restaurant has a simple, but comforting interior. There are large open windows to see parts of the inside and outside the library—chairs, tables, and booths to eat, study, or both. There are also decorations for the seasons or holidays to keep things festive.
By being located in the library, they make it easier for students not to leave campus, as well as offer a wide variety of food. They offer sandwiches, salads, smoothies, and shakes made by the staff. As for snacks, they also have chips, candy, granola bars, fruit, cookies, drinks, and ice cream. If students are in the mood for coffee or hot chocolate, there is also a Keurig station with a wide variety of coffee pods. Students can either pay for their food with cash or a card or use their meal plan swipes.
Anaya Vann, a freshman at Snow College, says, “My go-to order is a sandwich with a pretzel bun or a strawberry smoothie. Having the bistro in the library makes it convenient to have food nearby. But they close a little early, so it’s good to keep snacks on hand either way.” The Bistro is open Monday-Thursday, 9:30 AM - 7:30 PM; Friday, 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM.
Rose Imlay, manager of Buster’s Bistro, says, “The ice cream or the sandwiches are what students order most. The popular sandwich orders are chipotle wraps and grilled chicken sandwiches. Each Friday, we also have an ice cream special for $2.19 plus tax.” There’s a little of everything to satisfy whatever craving, sweet or savory.
Buster’s Bistro offers quick but filling meals to keep you fueled. There is no need to walk back home or drive to town to get something to eat; if you are at or near the library, Buster’s Bistro is right there. Come down and enjoy Buster’s Bistro.
