Another year, another Badger Ballers basketball game has come and gone. This year with even more scoring, fun, and excitement. It was one to remember for the rest of the year.

Badger Ballers is an event hosted once a year by the Snowdrift newspaper club that allows members of the community that have special needs to be able to participate in basketball as they are the stars of the show and are able to score baskets with the men and womens basketball team, cheer with the Badgerettes, and overall just hang out and have fun.

This year was special as around 25 people showed up to play in this year's game. Addison, one of the players, said, “I love this game, it makes me happy to play and to cheer. I look forward to it every year.” These words followed almost every other player's message, that they looked forward to the game and they had more fun than ever playing in this.

With this event brought lots of laughs, memories, and friendships along the way. Avery Jensen, captain of the Badgerettes talked about this, stating, “The energy in the room is so special and it is so incredible to see everyone's faces light up on the court. I find that I cheer louder at Badger Ballers than any other game during the year.”

This event has brought the community together for the past 5 years and looks forward to doing so in the coming years. This event is loved by many and an event to involve all, in hopes of changing one life at a time along the way.

If unable to attend this year, come next year as it promises to change lives as well as put a smile on every face that attends.
