The Snow College Theatre Department brings Anastasia into the spotlight.
The musical directed by Jenn Chandler embarks on a journey to the past; from the post 1917 revolution Russian empire to the vibrant 1920s Paris streets. The Grand Duchess Anastasia Romanov is rumored to have survived the execution of the Russian Imperial family.
Amongst all of this, a brave young woman, Anya, searches for home, love, and family. Amid her search, Anya finds herself pairing up with Dmitry, a con-man who grew up on the streets of Petersburg and Vlad and used to rub shoulders with Russian aristocrats.
Many hearts and hands were dedicated to making this show the best it could be. The cast and crew are eager to show off their hard work.
Ruby Bagley portrays the Countess Lily, who is the Dowager Empress's lady-in-waiting. When Ruby was asked about her thoughts on the production she said, “I am really excited for Anastasia! I really enjoy being a part of a process where everyone is really passionate about what we are doing. I personally really like the historical aspect and watching everyone else also get into the history of Anastasia. It's been fun to see people getting excited about something!”
