Starting college is an exciting time filled with new experiences, opportunities, and the chance to explore both your campus and the surrounding town. As a freshman, getting involved in activities outside of the classroom can help you settle in, make friends, and create lasting memories. Here are a few things you can do around Snow College and Ephraim to ensure that you make the most of your first year.
Attending Snow College events
Snow College hosts a variety of events throughout the year, from the paint dance to homecoming, among other fun activities. By attending these College events you will be able to meet other students who share your interests and allow you to create everlasting memories. Attend Sporting Events
For most students sports can be seen as an important part of campus life, attending games can be a great way to show school spirit and connect with other students. Whether you’re a die-hard Football, Volleyball, Softball, Basketball, or Soccer fan or just looking for something fun to do, cheering the Badger Teams is a great way to do it.
Attend Western Swing
For the majority of students at Snow College western swing is an important part of college life as former Western swing club member Shalyse Asthon says “Western Swing is a place to hangout and meet new people that match your energy, it's a place to have fun and be yourself”.
Join a Club
Getting involved in student clubs or organizations is a great way to meet new people and explore your
passions. Whether you're interested in arts, politics, or video games, there is likely a club that fits your interest.
Go Bowling
If you are bored at home and have nothing to do with your roommates or friends and want a fun activity SnoCap Lanes is the place to go and enjoy a night bowling with your friends.
Explore The Local Food Scene
One of the best ways to get to know a town is through its food. Check out the local coffee shop like Solid Rock Cafe or the many different pizza restaurants around town like Roys Pizza, Za’s & Da’s, Main Street Pizza, Little Ceasar’s, or Domino’s Pizza, you just might discover a favorite spot to study, relax with friends, or grab a quick bite, don’t be afraid to explore as you might find a hidden gem.
