Snow College hosted their concurrent enrollment students on Thursday, February 13. The high schoolers were broken into groups and sent to different rotations. These rotations included swing dancing, Love by Nick Marson, and, finally, a mock crime scene.
This crime scene was set up in the Library on the second level. The crime scene showed these concurrent enrollment students how and what CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) teams would do in an active crime scene. This crime scene was publicly accessible from 9:45-11 am.
Dennis Schugk said, “It was a fun way to show growing teens what a future in criminology could look like.” These break outs allowed for students to see future careers, and how attending Snow could help in those endeavors.
Snow College’s goals for their concurrent enrollment classes is to “provide exceptional educational opportunities for rural high school students.” (Snow College website)
The classes offered are to help students progress in more isolated areas, receive higher education at a cheaper price, and to help bright students excel in their future careers.
